SERVICES construction banner 0724

BGE officially began offering full-service construction management (CM) in 2007, although strong management has always been a part of our operations. CM is an alternative to the traditional general contracting practice in which subcontractors work directly with the general contractor rather than answering to the client and the client’s representative. BGE, as the construction manager, looks out for the owner’s best interest by working with the general contractor and subcontractors.

In addition to end-to-end project management and construction administration, CM services typically encompass cost and schedule analysis, estimating, and controls. As the client’s on-site representative, constructibility assessments, value engineering, construction inspection and documentation, and dispute resolution are integral parts of our management process.

CM projects usually involve large infrastructure with multiple stakeholders and complex schedules, like highways, pipelines, and water or wastewater treatment facilities. Our project managers and field staff drive these projects to successful completion with their combined engineering and construction expertise and the application of increasingly sophisticated technology.

Watch our inspector perform an inspection of a 500,000 gallon elevated water storage tank in El Campo, Texas.

When Cinco Ranch Municipal District grew concerned with the amount of wasted fresh groundwater in their area, BGE responded with innovative designs for two storage tanks and a ultra violet light filtration system for wastewater. But our work didn’t stop there—our future plans include drilling a test well that will desalinate the untapped Jasper Aquifer to provide residents a new source for fresh drinking water.
