Employee-led anniversary initiative supports nearly 100 organizations across BGE’s footprint, exceeding original commitment
Houston, TX (December 18, 2025) – As BGE, Inc. concludes its 50th anniversary year, the firm proudly announces the completion of its 50 for 50 Community Service Initiative, a year-long effort launched in 2025 to honor five decades of engineering excellence through meaningful community service.
The 50 for 50 Initiative set out to complete 50 community service projects across the communities where BGE employees live and work. Driven by employee passion and local partnerships, the initiative quickly exceeded expectations, showcasing BGE’s deep-rooted commitment to service, collaboration, and giving back.

BGE team members volunteered their time, expertise, and resources to organizations addressing critical local needs, including food insecurity, STEM education, environmental stewardship, housing support, workforce development, community health, and more.
“We launched 50 for 50 to celebrate our anniversary in a way that truly mattered,” said Lee Lennard, President and CEO of BGE. “As the initiative comes to a close, I’m incredibly proud of our people for nearly doubling our commitment and showing what’s possible when service is a shared value. This initiative reinforced that community is not just something we support, it’s part of who we are.”
BGE continues to build on its existing commitments to community engagement through established programs such as its Employee Gift Match Program, which matches employee charitable contributions to help extend the impact of individual giving.

BGE also maintains strong, ongoing relationships with local and national organizations, including the Salvation Army Angel Tree program, CANstruction, Keep Fulshear Beautiful, and many other community-based initiatives across its regions. Beyond local efforts, BGE has proudly partnered with Living Water International for nearly a decade, supporting sustainable access to clean water and infrastructure in communities worldwide.
