BGE’s Keli Schroeder Elected to AWBD Board of Trustees 

Houston, Texas (August 5, 2025) — BGE, Inc. proudly announces that Keli Schroeder, PE, District Services Director and leader in BGE’s Municipal Utility District (MUD) practice, has been elected to the Board of Trustees for the Association of Water Board Directors (AWBD) of Texas. Keli will serve as secretary, helping guide the organization’s mission to strengthen water district management across the state through education, unification, and advocacy. 
 


“Serving on AWBD’s Board of Trustees is an opportunity to transition from a support role into active leadership for an organization that has been central to my career and the Texas water industry,” said Keli Schroeder. “I’m passionate about equipping MUD directors with the knowledge and resources they need to serve their communities effectively and ensuring our industry remains prepared for future challenges.”

With nearly 30 years at BGE, Keli has become a respected figure in the water industry. She has been an active member of AWBD for over 25 years, previously serving on the Advisory Council, Program Committee, and Recognition Committee, where she played a pivotal role in developing significant industry honors, including the Leonard Legacy Award and the Project Awards. In 2024, she was honored with AWBD’s prestigious Visions Award for her contributions to the organization and the water and wastewater industry. 

 
Keli joins fellow BGE colleague Larry Goldberg, P.E., ENV SP, who currently serves as the First Vice President on the AWBD Board of Trustees, further highlighting BGE’s significant presence and leadership within the organization. 
 
In addition to her AWBD role, Keli serves on the Fort Bend County MUD 24 Board of Directors, underscoring her deep commitment to community development and regional collaboration in her home county. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Fort Bend County Chamber of Commerce.
