BGE, Inc. is expanding its land and site development operations in the Southeast with the addition of key individuals in Georgia, Florida and North Carolina. These individuals are responsible for business development, client management, recruiting, hiring and training of staff within their respective areas.
Chuck Davis, PE, manager of land/site development, is establishing the firm’s presence in the Greater Atlanta market. A licensed engineer with over 20 years of experience, he has a demonstrated history in mixed-use developments, residential design and planning. Davis received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering technology from Southern Polytechnic State University.
Kelly Race, PE recently joined BGE as practice leader to expand land and site development service offerings in Raleigh. Race will lead all aspects of the office’s private development practice, with a specific emphasis on entitlement services and project management for projects within the Triangle. She joins Assistant Project Manager Charlie Townsend, PE; together, they will be responsible for the Raleigh market. Race and Townsend both earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University.
A licensed professional engineer in 10 states, James Kelley, PE joined BGE as manager of land/site development for the Tampa office. He is well-versed in preliminary design, planning, construction documentation and administration for both commercial and municipal projects. He received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from New Mexico State University.

In addition to these new hires, Andrew Grant, PE has been promoted to manager, land/site in BGE’s Charlotte office. Grant joined the firm in 2018 and leads a team of designers and project managers, while also providing quality and responsive service to clients. He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and is a licensed professional engineer in North and South Carolina.
