BGE, Inc. is proud to announce that Rosa Plesner, PE, has earned the 2021 Engineer of the Year Award from the Preston Trail Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE). Plesner is currently a project manager in the Transportation Systems department in the North Texas region.
She has been an active member of TSPE for 10 years, contributing in various roles on the local, regional and statewide levels. Her positions include multiple committee seats, director of the Preston Trail Chapter and time as a board member. She also volunteered with the MATHCOUNTS competition, helping to get Dallas ISD involved for the first time. This year’s award is the third award Plesner has earned from the Preston Trail Chapter after being awarded the Young Engineer of the Year Award and President’s Award in 2016.
Although decorated by the chapter, each accomplishment is much appreciated and further motivation to continue her professional development.
“I am extremely humbled to have even been considered for this award. It serves as a reminder of all the support and encouragement I have received to grow professionally and continue to promote the engineering profession,” Plesner said.
