Larry Goldberg PE, ENV SP, FASCE, Joins BGE as Technical Advisor for Public Works

BGE, Inc. today announced that Larry Goldberg, PE, ENV SP, FASCE, has joined the firm’s Houston office as a Technical Advisor in the Public Works department.

Larry comes to BGE with over 40 years of experience in civil engineering. His experience spans the design, management, and construction of public and private infrastructure, residential and commercial developments, transportation, and flood control projects. He has worked on hundreds of projects, from feasibility studies and preliminary design to final design and construction phase services.

Larry has held numerous board and committee positions, including ASCE Houston Branch President (2000-2001), ASCE Texas Section President (2017-2018), and is currently ASCE Region 6 Governor, AWBD Gulf Coast Trustee, and an ASCE Fellow Member.

His role in providing technical support and guidance to the Public Works, Land Development, and District Services groups will undoubtedly enhance our team’s capabilities and ability to serve our clients effectively,” commented Lindsay Kovar, Public Works Director.

Larry earned his B.S. in civil engineering from Texas A&M University and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Texas. He enjoys running and has completed numerous half-marathons. He used to bull ride in high school and also spent some time working on offshore oil rigs. Larry and his wife Rhoda have four daughters and six grandkids.
