Patrick Ramirez, PE, EE, Joins BGE
Houston, TX – BGE is proud to welcome Patrick Ramirez to our Transportation Systems team as a Senior Project Manager in our Houston, Texas office.
With over 30 years of experience in electronics, telecommunications, and transportation infrastructure expertise, Patrick brings a unique blend of technical depth and project leadership to the team.
Holding a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston, Patrick’s career has focused heavily on intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and traffic engineering, where he has led the design and implementation of advanced communication networks, traffic signal systems, and roadside technologies.
His specialties include RF wireless design, fiber-optic and IP network architecture, low-voltage power systems, and vehicular detection systems. Notably, Patrick led a recent multidisciplinary design project for the SH151 Roadway Widening project in San Antonio. He also served as the engineer of record for multiple TXDOT statewide ITS on-call contracts in both the San Antonio and Austin Districts.
Known for his meticulous attention to detail and hands-on field experience, Patrick’s arrival will strengthen BGE’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge transportation solutions that enhance safety, mobility, and connectivity.
