Bob Lane Joins BGE as Senior Project Manager

BGE, Inc. announced today that Bob Lane, PE, has joined the firm’s Austin office as senior project manager in the Public Works department.

Lane has more than 25 years of experience in various aspects of engineering, including process, mechanical, civil and hydraulic. Over that time, he also has served as project or client manager on numerous projects.

In his new role with BGE, Lane will lead the firm’s designs of water and wastewater facilities as well as the team that supports municipal and MUD clients in the Central Texas region.

“We are excited that Bob has joined BGE as we expand our ability to design wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and lift station facilities for our clients in Central Texas,” said Wes Jasek, Central Texas region operations leader. “Bob’s 25 years of experience designing facilities in Texas and the Southeast US brings us valuable expertise in these areas.”

Lane has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed advanced environmental engineering coursework from Clemson University. He is a licensed engineer in Texas, Georgia and South Carolina. Lane also served in the US Army in Operation Desert Storm and later as an air traffic controller. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking. Over the next year, Lane plans to hike in Nevada State parks.
