Bob Zumwalt, Director of Land Planning + Landscape Architecture in the Southeast Region, Promoted to Raleigh Office Lead

BGE has announced that Bob Zumwalt, PLA, has been promoted to Raleigh Office Lead in addition to his role as Director of Land Planning + Landscape Architecture.

In his new role, Bob will lead the full service, multidiscipline Raleigh office for BGE in the Triangle, taking on all internal and external leadership efforts including public involvement, client interactions, and internal development efforts.

“We are very excited to have Bob expand his service and leadership to our team in Raleigh to include Office Lead,” said Randy Randermann, Southeast Region Operations Leader. “Bob is a tremendous market leader and under his expanded service our clients and teammates will have greater opportunities within the marketplace.”

Bob joined BGE in 2021, and his career includes 33 years of experience with complex design projects on local and regional levels. In his leadership role, he has focused primarily on expanding BGE’s land planning and landscape architectural services related to residential, commercial, mixed-use, and multi-family projects in the Raleigh area and throughout the southeast region. He is well regarded and sought out for his creative approach to land planning and design, as well as his strong relationships with local municipalities and staff. Bob has played key roles in many high-profile projects in the Triangle over his career, including complex developments such as North Hills in Raleigh and Fenton in Cary.

Bob is a licensed Landscape Architect in North Carolina and graduated with a BS in Landscape Architecture from the University of California, Davis. Outside the office, Bob enjoys family time with his wife and two sons, travelling, golfing, and spending time at the beach.
