North Austin, TX – We’re pleased to welcome Kenny Porter to BGE as Chief Inspector.
Kenny brings more than 30 years of transportation construction inspection and project management experience, with an extensive background supporting roadway, bridge, interchange, and infrastructure projects across Texas and the Midwest. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed construction engineering and inspection (CEI) teams, overseen complex transportation projects, and worked closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
Prior to joining BGE, Kenny held leadership roles with RK&K, IEA, and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). His experience includes serving as a Construction Manager, Operations Manager, CEI Manager, Engineering Specialist, and Chief Inspector, which has given him a comprehensive understanding of project delivery, from planning and construction through project closeout.
Kenny has led inspection and project management efforts on numerous high-profile transportation projects, including SH OSR in Bryan, US 87 Bypass in Big Spring, FM 1382 Grade Separation, I-35E HOV, and IH 45 Rehabilitation projects. His expertise includes construction oversight, quality assurance, materials testing, environmental compliance, and change order management.
In addition to managing project teams and client relationships, Kenny has developed training programs, established standard operating procedures, and mentored inspection staff throughout his career. He holds numerous TxDOT precertification’s, including Chief Inspector, Construction Superintendent, Construction Record Keeper, Environmental Inspections, and Asphalt and Concrete Placement.
Kenny’s decades of field experience, leadership capabilities, and commitment to quality make him a valuable addition to BGE’s construction management team.
