(North Austin, TX) – We’re excited to welcome Chad Bohne, P.E., to BGE as our new Transportation Business Leader.
Chad joins BGE with more than 35 years of transportation engineering and leadership experience, bringing a unique combination of public-sector executive leadership, technical expertise, and strategic vision that will help drive the continued growth of our transportation practice across Texas and beyond.
Most recently, Chad served as Bryan District Engineer for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) overseeing all aspects of transportation project development, construction, maintenance, and operations. In this role, he was responsible for hundreds of employees and guided critical infrastructure investments that improved mobility, safety, and connectivity for communities throughout Southeast and Central Texas.
Throughout his distinguished TxDOT career, Chad held numerous leadership positions, including Deputy District Engineer, Director of Transportation Planning and Development, District Design Engineer, District Planning Engineer, etc. This broad experience has given him an exceptional understanding of the transportation project lifecycle, from long-range planning and environmental studies through design, right-of-way acquisition, utility coordination, construction, and ongoing operations.
Chad’s leadership has been recognized through numerous accomplishments and industry honors. During his tenure, the Bryan District achieved record-setting project delivery volumes, earned statewide recognition for safety performance, and reached top rankings for both pavement and bridge conditions. He also played a key role in establishing planning and development as a formal transportation improvement that support long-term growth.
As Transportation Business Leader, Chad will focus on strengthening client relationships, expanding opportunities across our transportation markets, mentoring future leaders, and helping guide the strategic growth of BGE’s transportation practice. We are excited about the experience, vision, and energy he brings to our organization and look forward to the impact he will make in this important leadership role.
