BGE, Inc. announced today that Oscar Medrano, PE, has joined the firm’s Houston office as a senior project manager in the Transportation Systems department.
Medrano has more than 35 years of experience in roadway design, construction, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) and project management, including 28 years with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
In his new role with BGE, Medrano will be a part of the program management team and will work initially on Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority projects.
“We are excited that Oscar has joined BGE,” said Rodney Heisch, Houston region operations leader. “Oscar brings a wealth of QA/QC experience that will be leveraged across a number of plans and projects to provide contractors what they need to successfully build projects.”
Medrano has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&I University in Kingsville. He also has TxDOT certifications in Roadway Design, Freeway Interchanges and Constructability Review. Outside of work, Medrano enjoys photography, working out and traveling. He plans to visit one national park per year.
