(Frisco, TX) – BGE, Inc is pleased to welcome Stephen Kuestersteffen as Corrosion Integrity Specialist in our Frisco office.
With more than a decade of experience in cathodic protection, AC mitigation, and pipeline integrity, Stephen brings deep technical expertise and a proven track record of delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality results across complex energy infrastructure projects.
Stephen has built his career around ensuring the long-term reliability and regulatory compliance of pipeline assets. His technical background includes managing the installation of groundbeds, test stations, and CP systems; leading AC/DC interference mitigation efforts; and overseeing CIS, ACVG, DCVG, and coating surveys. His work has supported regulatory compliance across DOT 49 CFR 192/195, PHMSA, and TRRC requirements, ensuring that pipeline assets remain protected, reliable, and long-lived.
Before joining BGE, Stephen served as an Auditor and Quality Consultant for Applied Consultants supporting ExxonMobil, where he oversaw QA/QC for more than 42 pipeline projects totaling 250+ miles. His role included verifying the quality of installations for groundbeds, test stations, and AC mitigation systems while coordinating engineering, construction, and inspection teams.
Prior to that, Stephen worked as Quality Lead – Corrosion/Integrity for ExxonMobil PII through Airswift, where he directed execution across 225+ miles of pipeline and managed teams of 20-60 personnel. He also led the installation of ICCP systems, test stations, and grounding networks, and oversaw CIS, ACVG, and DCVG surveys to drive corrective action and system performance improvements.
Stephen’s addition strengthens BGE’s Integrity team as we continue expanding our corrosion and pipeline protection capabilities. His background supporting large-scale pipeline programs, combined with his hands-on experience in CP system installation, AC mitigation, and integrity survey execution, positions him to make an immediate impact on the clients and projects he will support. His commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance aligns strongly with BGE’s values and the high standards we bring to every project.
