BGE is proud to announce the election of four new board members: Michael Fitzgerald, Michael Franklin, Roman Grijalva, and Chris Kuykendall. These individuals have demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and a commitment to BGE’s core values and growth throughout their careers.
They will serve three-year terms and join the other board members, which comprises the executive committee:
- Lee Lennard – Chairman of the Board
- Randy Randermann – President and CEO
- Rodney Heisch – Houston Operations Leader
- Mike Garrison – North Texas Operations Leader
- Wes Jasek – Central Texas Operations Leader
- Eric Hampton – Southeast Operations Leader
Outgoing board members include Erin Gonzales (San Antonio Area Leader), Jaime Beard (Managing Director of Land/Site), and Chris Jacob (Managing Director of Construction Management).
Each new member brings a unique perspective and expertise to BGE’s Board:
- Michael Fitzgerald, Managing Director of Land Development, brings over 20 years of civil engineering and project management experience. His leadership has shaped land development across the Houston area, with deep expertise in residential infrastructure, master-planned communities, and municipal utility districts.
- Michael Franklin, Managing Director of Information Technology, has built a legacy of operational excellence and client-focused service. His ability to drive innovation and performance has helped position BGE as a trusted partner across a wide range of projects.
- Roman Grijalva, Managing Director of Public Works, has over 25 years of experience in municipal infrastructure, with a strong background in planning, design, and project management. His leadership has guided multi-disciplinary teams through complex civil projects, delivering sustainable solutions that support communities and enhance public systems.
- Chris Kuykendall, Senior Director, brings nearly three decades of experience in transportation planning and design, with a focus on General Engineering Consulting and Program Management. His technical leadership has shaped major infrastructure projects across Texas, and he has played a key role in expanding BGE’s transportation services into Florida.
Leadership Rooted in Culture
The recent addition to BGE’s board has been met with enthusiastic support from BGE’s ownership team. Their elevation reflects not only individual achievement but also the company’s broader commitment to cultivating leaders who embody its values and vision.
Lee Lennard, outgoing President and CEO, emphasized the significance of this transition, stating, “The elevation of these four leaders to the board is not only well deserved but also part of our long-range plan for continued growth and success.” His words underscore the impact these individuals have had across the organization and the confidence BGE places in their leadership.
Echoing this sentiment, Randy Randermann, BGE’s newly appointed President and CEO, highlighted the importance of cultural alignment and servant leadership. “Our future depends on leaders who understand our culture and are committed to our clients and communities,” he said. “They bring fresh perspectives and insights on the employee experience and growth opportunities, while expanding our broader organizational leadership skills.”
Guiding the Next Chapter
With the addition of these new members, BGE’s Board of Directors continues to represent an experienced group of professionals who bring a wealth of knowledge, strategic insight, industry expertise, and diversity of thought to the table. This collective leadership is instrumental in guiding BGE’s long-term vision, fostering innovation, and ensuring operational excellence across all service lines.
The board’s composition reflects the company’s dedication to balanced representation across disciplines, geographic regions, and professional backgrounds. This diversity ensures that decisions are shaped by varied insights and experiences. As BGE continues to grow and evolve, the board remains steadfast in its commitment to the company’s core values, championing its employee experience, fostering a strong culture, and consistently delivering outstanding service to clients and communities.
By investing in our people, BGE has built a resilient and forward-thinking leadership pipeline — one that continues to produce owners and executives who embody The BGE Way. The addition of Fitzgerald, Franklin, Grijalva, and Kuykendall is a testament to this approach and a signal of BGE’s commitment to continuity, excellence, and the future.
Together, this team will guide BGE into its next chapter, upholding the values and vision that have defined the firm for more than 50 years.
