BGE Houston EITs Sarah Abrams and Ryan Lesikar attended the 2016 Bright Futures Fair, hosted by Harris County Precinct One. Sarah and Ryan organized a catapult contest where kids constructed catapults and measured the projectile motion. The Bright Futures Fair marks the end of the summer Street Olympics program, founded in 1987 by Commissioner El Franco Lee. The program began as a free sports event for local youth, but now offers year-round programs for health care, tutoring, reading readiness and environmental education.
