BGE Expands Florida Operations with New Office, Service

BGE, Inc. today announced the expansion of its Florida operations with the opening of a new office in Tampa and the addition of another key service – Environmental Services.

BGE is a consulting firm that provides civil engineering, land development design and permitting, environmental sciences, land planning, and site analysis. The company has 650 employees in offices across the Southeast.

Environmental Services in Florida will focus on residential and commercial land development, mining, transportation, infrastructure, energy and conservation interests, and providing services such as environmental permitting support, due diligence, protected species, wetland assessments and mitigation, and monitoring services and gopher tortoise permitting and relocation services.

Justin Styer, Certified Ecologist (CE), and Authorized Gopher Tortoise Agent (AGTA) has joined the BGE Environmental Team in Tampa as an Environmental Manager.

Styer has more than 25 years of experience in Florida’s terrestrial, aquatic and marine environments. He earned his bachelor of science in biology from the University of South Florida. He’s a member of the Ecological Society of America, The Wildlife Society, Tampa Bay Association of Environmental Professionals, and the Florida Association of Environmental Professionals.
