BGE Project Manager Named Young Civil Engineer of the Year By ASCE NC Eastern Branch

BGE, Inc. is proud to announce that Charlie Townsend, PE, has been awarded the 2021 Young Civil Engineer of the Year Award from the ASCE North Carolina Eastern Branch. Townsend is currently a project manager in the Land/Site Development department in the Southeast region.

Townsend earned this award due to his volunteer work and engineering advocacy in the region. Serving the community is a passion of Townsend’s, and he is excited to know others feel he has made an impact.

“I am truly honored and humbled to receive this award. Being recognized for my professional and volunteering efforts lets me know that I have been fortunate to positively impact my community. For that, I am grateful,” Townsend said.
