BGE Welcomes Mike Barrette as Senior Project Manager

Today, BGE, Inc. announced that Mike Barrette, PE, recently joined the firm as a senior project manager in the Construction Management department in the Houston, TX office.

Barrette brings over 26 years of experience in construction and project management to his role at BGE. He has extensive expertise in value engineering, constructability review and monitoring construction schedules and budgets. He is skilled at providing construction engineering and inspection services for a variety of municipal and transportation clients, including Harris County Flood Control District, City of Houston and Harris County Toll Road Authority.

In his new role, Barrette will manage the field operations for two HCFCD projects on Brays Bayou in the Houston area. These projects will include the removal and replacement of seven bridges to reduce flooding along the bayou.

“Mike has a lot of experience that is going to help immensely with a few major projects currently under construction,” said Rodney Heisch, BGE senior vice president and Houston area operations leader. “We are excited to have him aboard and look forward to his contributions to the team.”

Barrette earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Oregon State University. He is a professional engineer in Texas and Washington and holds a technical certification in construction management from the University of Houston.
