BGE Executive Vice President Doug Dillon, PE, has been appointed as chair of the liaison committee between the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
The ACEC/TxDOT Liaison Committee meets monthly with TxDOT senior leadership to identify, discuss, and resolve items that help the industry and TxDOT do business together. Doug has been a committee member for the past 20 years, working on key initiatives like the Rate Negotiation Process development and implementation.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as Chair of the committee for the next year,” Dillon said. “And to continue to work with both our ACEC member firms, as well as TxDOT to find ways to more effectively and efficiently deliver the transportation program for the citizens of Texas”.
Doug joined BGE in 2007 and has been instrumental in establishing the firm’s Construction Management and Program Management practices, as well as establishing and growing BGE’s presence in North and Central Texas. He most recently served as operations leader for the North Texas region and was responsible for the day-to-day operations of three offices in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, as well as the firm’s Waco office and two offices in Arkansas.
With more than 40 years of transportation engineering and program/project management experience, Doug continues to advocate for transportation projects across the state, making his appointment to the ACEC/TxDOT Liaison Committee such a great fit. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the BGE Board and is also Board Advisor for the firm’s Risk Management and Safety Committees.
