BGE, Inc. announced today that Shayne Leathers, PE, recently joined the firm as a senior project manager in the Land/Site department in Raleigh.
Leathers brings almost 30 years of experience to BGE. He specializes in residential and commercial development, construction management, stormwater quality and earthwork. In his new role, he will lead various development projects in the region and help mentor younger engineers in the firm.
BGE’s Raleigh office is one of the firm’s newer locations, having just opened its doors in 2020. Leathers will bring strong support to the team and help boost the firm’s capabilities in the area.
“We’re always excited to add people to our team who share Shayne’s depth of experience,” said Randy Randermann, Southeast region operations leader. “His versatility and expertise will serve our clients well while we continue to build our presence in this market.”
Leathers earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Iowa State University, and he is licensed in North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina and Iowa. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. When he’s not focused on design plans and finding creative solutions to challenges, he enjoys surf fishing and spending time on the beach.
