BGE, Inc. recently announced that Javier Castello, PE, has joined the company as Director of Land/Site Development, based out of BGE’s San Antonio, Texas office. Javier will be leading and training teams in the Central Texas region to excel in land development projects, ensuring high-performance and efficiency while balancing workload and staffing requirements. He will also be collaborating with public agencies and industry organizations to foster positive relations with BGE. Javier is well known for cultivating strong relationships with key clients, encouraging repeat business, and maintaining the highest levels of client satisfaction.
“We’re very excited for Javier to join the leadership team in our Land/Site Development department in San Antonio,” said BGE Site Development Director Brian Grace. “Javier’s experience and expertise in his field will further bolster our growing presence in the San Antonio region and Central Texas as a whole.”
Javier has been in the civil engineering field for 13 years, bringing valuable experience in commercial, industrial, and residential land development projects. He holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Texas A&M University, Kingsville, as well as a master of science in civil engineering from the same university.
Javier is currently serving as Director for the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE), Bexar County Chapter. He is also a former Vice President of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Younger Members San Antonio branch and a current member of the Rotary Club of San Antonio.
Javier enjoys outdoor sports, having played collegiate soccer, but he focuses his athletic pursuits mostly on golf and padel these days. He also enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children.
