CapEx Central Drainage Tunnels & Pump Station
BGE designed two large-diameter tunnels beneath IH 35 and East Cesar Chavez Street in downtown Austin to alleviate flooding. The tunnels will convey stormwater to a pump station and discharge it into the Colorado River. This project is part of the larger IH 35 expansion.
-
South Montgomery County Mobility Plan
BGE conducted a mobility study for South Montgomery County to assess current transportation conditions and plan for future growth. Our analysis identified traffic bottlenecks, evaluated roadway infrastructure, and developed recommendations for improvements, including roadway upgrades, traffic signal optimization, and pedestrian/bicycle facility enhancements.
-
Judge Jodie Stavinoha Bridge
BGE’s innovative engineering solution stabilized the critical SH 99 bridge after Hurricane Harvey’s devastating floods, ensuring continued transportation and community resilience.
-
Elyson
A 3,600-acre master-planned community, Elyson earned the 2017 ACEC Texas Silver Medal in Water Resources – Storm Water Management Category.
-
Round Rock Quiet Zone
BGE’s engineering expertise has been instrumental in identifying and implementing potential quiet zone solutions for 12 at-grade railroad crossings, improving the quality of life for nearby communities while maintaining safety standards.
-
Texas Heritage Parkway
To facilitate flow and eliminate head-on collisions, this four-lane boulevard exclusively features roundabouts at nine intersections.
-
IH 30 Rockwall County Improvements
BGE, Inc. partnered with TxDOT to expand and modernize a 17-mile stretch of I-30, overcoming complex challenges like lake crossings and urban constraints to improve safety and mobility for the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
-
IH 635/Dallas North Tollway Split Diamond Traffic Signal Design
BGE collaborated with TxDOT to design and install innovative traffic signal solutions for the Dallas North Tollway and IH 635 intersections.
-
SH 21 Super 2 Widening and Rehabilitation
BGE designed a cost-effective Super 2 passing lane solution for a high-traffic, two-lane stretch of SH 21, improving safety and driver satisfaction while minimizing right-of-way impacts.
